Welcome to BlingBook! This guide will walk you through the initial setup and operation process to help you quickly get started with BlingBook's features.

Introduction

BlingBook is a multi-person bookkeeping tool designed for Telegram groups. Its core features include:

• Smart Text Bookkeeping: Quickly create expense records by entering text and amount in the group and tagging members.
• Automatic Receipt Parsing: Upload receipts or screenshots, and the system automatically recognizes amounts and items, importing them directly into the split process.
• Flexible Splitting Modes: Supports equal split, individual split, and item-based split, with options to split by quantity or ratio.
• Debt Simplification: Automatically generates settlement plans with the minimum number of transfers to reduce transaction flows.
• Comprehensive Management Interface: Provides a Mini App interface for viewing, editing, splitting, and analyzing records.
• International Currency Support: Supports multi-currency switching, suitable for cross-border travel and overseas consumption.

BlingBook is suitable for travel, dining, shared living, clubs, or any scenario requiring group expense splitting.

Install Bot

1. Add @blingbook_bot to your Telegram group. Administrator permissions may be required.
2. The bot will automatically send a welcome message after joining. Please select your preferred language.
3. The bot will guide you through the initial setup, including group currency selection.
4. Start bookkeeping.

Note: Due to Telegram limitations, the bot can only recognize members who have spoken in the group. Please ask everyone to speak in the group when using it for the first time so the bot can recognize all members.

Quick Start

• Enter an amount message in the group and tag members and @blingbook_bot, for example:
  • @blingbook_bot @bob Lunch owes me 500
  • @blingbook_bot I booked accommodation 15000, split between me @bob @alice
• Upload a receipt image and reply with @blingbook_bot. The bot will automatically recognize the amount and items to generate a split record quickly.
• Use the Mini App for bookkeeping management, editing, and analysis.

Credits and Usage

• Each group is given 1,000 credits for free:
  • Approximately 250 AI text bookkeeping entries
  • Approximately 50 AI image recognition bookkeeping entries
• You can check the remaining credits via the /credits command or in the Settings page in the Mini App.
• If you need more credits, type /payments in the group to purchase.
• Even if credits run out, you can still use the Mini App for bookkeeping and management functions.
